Prepared to Thrive

Prepared to Thrive can provide baby supplies to mothers with children under the age of two in Chester County.  They hope to alleviate some of the stress that new mothers without a support system face and help set them up on a successful path to motherhood.

Prepared to Thrive can provide the following items:

  • Clothing (0-2t)
  • Diapers
  • Baby food/formula
  • Baby gear (strollers, toys, carriers, etc.)

WIC

The PA Special Supplemental Nutrition Program for Women, Infants, and Children (WIC) improves the nutrition and health of families by providing nutrition services, breastfeeding support, health care and social service referrals, and healthy food.

Who may qualify:

  • Pregnant women
  • Breastfeeding women, up to one year
  • Women six months postpartum, not breastfeeding
  • Infants and children under 5 years

How to apply:

All applicants MUST make a WIC office appointment to see if they qualify for benefits. Appointments may be made by calling 1-800-WIC-WINS or begin the process online here . Make sure to bring the items on the required checklist to your first appointment.

Additional Guidelines:

Applicants must also meet income guidelines in addition to criteria listed above, as well as have a medical or nutritional risk (determined at initial appointment).
