The Center for International Programs (CIP) was established in 1973. The CIP provides essential support services for international students, visiting scholars, education abroad, and the National Student Exchange.
Students are encouraged to participate in semester or year-long study abroad programs as well as summer faculty-led programs. The CIP hosts a Study Abroad Fair each fall in Sykes Student Union where students have the opportunity to meet with WCU faculty to learn about programs all over the world. In addition, study abroad representatives visit campus during the spring semester. The schedule for these visits is available in the office at the beginning of each spring semester.
The CIP assists international students to gain entry to WCU, to serve these students once enrolled and to education U.S. students globally by fostering opportunities for education abroad and exchange programs. All West Chester University immigration services are provided through the CIP. A variety of services such as immigration advising, English as a Second Language programming and orientation are provided for scholars and students from WCU and more than 60 countries.
