PASSHE Council of Writing
The PASSHE Council of Writing is a newly formed organization that is committed to providing opportunities for PASSHE faculty who teach writing and writing-intensive courses to collaborate on curricular, pedagogical and scholarly topics, including assessment and writing placement. The council will be committed to supporting faculty as well as advocating for students.
All PASSHE faculty, administrators and staff are welcome to join the council. The council will seek board members to assist in the leadership and administration of the organization in early Fall 2023. PASSHE Writing Conference
The inaugural PASSHE Writing Conference that will take place on August 8 and 9 from 9 am to 1 pm each day via Zoom. Teaching our students to learn to write and to write to learn is at the core of our General Education goals. This conference will highlight our experiences and expertise to enhance our pedagogical strategies and tactics. Sessions will be appropriate for all faculty who teach composition, writing across the curriculum (WAC) and writing in the disciplines (WID). The Call for Proposals (attached) welcomes both individual and roundtable discussions. You may also propose a paper presentation for inclusion in a panel.
As a PASSHE member, you are invited to present and/or participate in this year's conference. There is no cost to attend the conference. Please complete the registration form in order to ensure that you are receiving the most timely details about the event.
