Program Overview

West Chester University is preparing graduates to succeed in an ever growing global economy through preparation for international careers. The B.S. in International Business is rooted in the College of Business and Public Management, but draws from a wide range of disciplines across the university. The program's flexible design enables students to gain the knowledge, skills and experience needed to understand and make international business decisions in a cross- and multi-cultural context. The program encourages and facilitates the completion of an international education experience (i.e. "study abroad"), a complementary minor, and/or a foreign language proficiency.

Business Law Minor

The Business Law minor is designed to help students develop a practical understanding of law as it applies to organizational decision-making and strategy. This understanding is critical for business managers in the complex 21st century workplace. This program gives students an additional skill set that is directly applicable to nearly any position.

Human Resources Management Minor

Human resource management plays a vital role in the life of all organizations, and human resource professionals are strategic business partners who assist in key areas of organizational leadership. This 18-credit blended minor in Human Resource Management will introduce students to the field of HR including employment law, staffing and development, and compensation. In addition, students will gain key insights about organizational behavior and a marketable skill set that is applicable in any field.

What can I do with this degree?

Graduates from our program have gone on to work in operations, marketing, logistics managers, product development, broadcasting, sales, brand management, social media, human resources, research, importing/exporting, government, and accounting. Companies that are graduates have been employed at include: QVC, Radial, PWC, JP Morgan, Reed Smith LLP, Vanguard, GSK, and the World Trade Organization.
