The following message applies to Chester County and Philadelphia locations. To ensure that our campus is cleared safely from the winter storm, West Chester University will open at 12:30 p.m. for in-person classes on Tuesday, February 24. Essential staff are to report. In-person classes with a start-time before 12:30 p.m. will be cancelled or delivered remotely. Faculty will reach-out to students concerning classes with a start-time before 12:30 p.m. to clarify course delivery (including asynchronous delivery). Students should monitor email and/or D2L for instruction from their professors. Online classes will continue as scheduled.
Given the above, and to reduce the impacts on parking as the University completes the process of mitigating the effects of the inclement weather, those offices that do not directly support students should operate remotely tomorrow, February 24, 2026, from 8:00 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. Offices that provide direct support to students will open in person at 12:30 p.m., and employees should report accordingly. Offices should use this afternoon to coordinate the reopening of services.
