I hope this newsletter finds you and your family safe and well!
Without doubt, the past few weeks of COVID-19 pandemic mitigation efforts have abruptly changed our daily lives. I appreciate everything the campus community is doing to support each other during these unprecedented times. We are pushing the envelope, being innovative, and coming up with awesome ideas to help our students, faculty and staff. Working as one IS&T community, we have transitioned rapidly to remote teaching and learning, student support and other institutional services.
Moving so much of the institution to remote operations in a matter of days was no small task. It took an immense level of coordination, patience, and expertise from every one of us. There are so many examples of how members of our community reached out to offer assistance and compassion. I have heard countless stories of outstanding customer service and creative problem solving over the last couple of weeks, and several of them are highlighted in this newsletter. I am grateful to all of you. I love to hear how everyone has come together to support the university during this time.
Be safe and well, and rest assured that we are working to serve you during this unusual time.
