The Administration Office supports the operational needs of the Library under the management of the Library Director and Associate Director. This office works with the 9 departments throughout the Library that provide services on a daily basis to students, faculty, staff, and the general public.

Position Responsibilities:
Customer Service, Data Input, General Office, Library
Involves the following:
• Confidential or sensitive data/information
• Handling cash, checks, or credit card transactions
• Handling financial, student or personnel data/records
• Possessing keys/codes or other means of entry to spaces within university offices or student housing
This position will provide general assistance with:
General office duties such as data entry, reception/answering telephone, typing, proofreading, filing, copying, faxing, scanning, handling mail, and delivering and retrieving materials on campus. Assist with ongoing and special projects, as needed. Office documents and information require a high level of confidentiality.
Specific duties as they relate to this department:
GENERAL SKILLS AND ATTRIBUTES DESIRED: Strong work ethic. Reliability is a must. Friendly. Great customer service attitude. Strong communication skills. Personable telephone and face-to-face etiquette. Computer comfort, knowledge and skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and Powerpoint is helpful. Ability to work with basic office equipment. Enthusiastic and positive attitude. Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail. Be mature. Attentive listener. Ability to complete tasks assigned. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Open to suggestions and growth.
Learning Outcomes:
The experience will give the student the opportunity to gain a sense of responsibility and afford him/her the opportunity to learn skills and abilities required to work in a professional office environment. They may develop or expand their computer skills when completing projects. The student may enhance their customer service/communication skills when interacting with internal and external cohorts. The student will develop organizational skills in the process of completing tasks, assignments, and in meeting project deadlines.
