Biography
Dr. Cynthia Haggard has three degrees from Indiana University, Bloomington, IN. After the completion of her B. A., she taught Secondary English in Indiana. After completing a master's degree in English and a specialist's degree in Reading, she taught in both the English and Education Departments at the University of the Ozarks, Clarksville, AR. Before moving to West Chester and after completing her doctoral degree, she taught at Concordia College in Moorehead, MN and Indiana University at South Bend.
Dr. Haggard plays a leadership role in the Association of Teacher Educators at the national level where she chairs the Leadership Foundation for Teacher Educators (LFTE) and the Chester County Reading Association at the local level.
Outside of school, Dr. Haggard is a voracious reader of mysteries and loves to travel, especially on concert tours to Europe with her choir.
