WCU Presents 2026 B.F.A. Exhibition
Dept. of Art + Design Showcases Student Work April 20 – May 8
The Department of Art + Design at West Chester University invites the public to attend the annual Bachelor of Fine Arts (B.F.A.) Exhibition, on view April 20 through May 8, 2026. There will be an opening reception on Thursday, April 30, from 4 – 7 p.m.
This culminating exhibition features the work of graduating seniors across a range of disciplines, including Studio Art and Graphic and Interactive Design. Serving as a capstone to their academic experience, the B.F.A. Exhibition celebrates the creativity, technical skill, and individual artistic voices of West Chester University’s emerging artists.
The exhibition is presented in two campus gallery spaces: the John H. Baker Gallery in the E.O. Bull Center for the Arts, 2 E. Rosedale Avenue, and the Knauer Gallery in the Swope Music Building and Performing Arts Center, 817 S. High Street, West Chester.
Both galleries are free and open to the public, Monday through Friday from 9:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m.
Curated by Kris Benedict, Scotty Reifsnyder, Jeremy Holmes, and Karen Watkins, the exhibition highlights the depth and diversity of student work developed during their time at the University.
David Jones, Chair of the Department of Art + Design, notes the importance of the event:
"West Chester University students are consistently recognized for their creativity and skill, and now members of the campus and surrounding community are invited to see their work exhibited. The end of the semester is a celebration of the hard work and creativity of these extraordinary young artists and designers as we launch them into their post-graduate careers.”
The B.F.A. Exhibition is free and open to the public. Visitors are encouraged to experience both gallery locations to view the full exhibition.
