Dept. of Theatre & Dance Presents Little Women, The Broadway Musical: November 20 – 23Little Women

West Chester University’s (WCU) Department of Theatre & Dance proudly presents Little Women, The Broadway Musical, November 20–23, 2025. Based on Louisa May Alcott’s beloved novel, this musical adaptation brings to life the enduring story of the March sisters—Jo, Meg, Beth, and Amy—as they navigate growing up during the Civil War era.

Performances take place in the MainStage Theatre, E.O. Bull Center for the Arts, 2 East Rosedale Avenue, West Chester. Performance times are Thursday, November 20 – Saturday, November 22 at 7:30 p.m., and Sunday, November 23 at 2:00 p.m. General admission tickets range from $14–$24, with discounts available for seniors with valid ID. Tickets may be purchased online at www.wcupatix.com/theatreanddance. An ASL interpreted performance will be offered on Friday, November 21.

With a book by Allan Knee, music by Jason Howland, and lyrics by Mindi Dickstein, Little Women, The Broadway Musical is a timeless coming-of-age story. Guest Directed by Amy Dugas Brown, this heartwarming production captures the dreams of heroine Jo March, a struggling writer longing to get her stories published. Encouraged by her friend, Professor Bhaer, to write from the heart, Jo crafts a touching tale inspired by the lives, laughter, and challenges she shares with her sisters.

Little WomenA sweeping and emotional score combined with heartfelt storytelling makes Little Women a show enjoyed by audiences of all ages. Full of warmth, humor, and spirit, this musical celebration of family and self-discovery is a perfect show to usher in the holiday season.

The cast of Little Women, the Broadway Musical includes Haily Lara (Jo), Gwen Nolen (Amy), Tazmin Ratkowski (Meg), Elizabeth McMunn (Beth), Shannon McCarthy (Marmee), Laurel Bendetti (Aunt March), Alex Letts (Laurie), Tindell (Mr. Laurence), Julian Polanco (Mr. Brooke), Siera Dunne (Mrs. Kirk), and Grayson Naftal (Prof. Bhaer).

The Department of Theatre and Dance at West Chester University, an accredited institution of the National Association of Schools of Theatre, prepares students for the professional and the academic worlds of Theatre and Dance, while raising student awareness of civility, diversity, creativity, problem-solving, and social responsibility. The department offers a BA Theatre degree program with elective concentrations in Musical Theatre, Performance, and Design and Production, in addition to a dance minor and theatre minor.
