WCU’s Wells School of Music Presents the Wind Symphony & Concert Band on Sunday, November 19
West Chester University’s Wells School of Music presents the WCU Wind Symphony and Concert Band under the direction of M. Gregory Martin and Adam Gumble on Sunday, November 19, at 7 p.m. in the Madeleine Wing Adler Theatre, Swope Music Building and Performing Arts Center, 817 S. High Street, West Chester. The Concert Band celebrates the 100th Anniversary of Ralph Vaughan Williams’ Folk Song Suite, and performs Anthony O’Toole’s Prelude to Something Big, The Raptor Rides the Whale by Andrew David Perkins, and Alton Adams’ The Governor’s Own March. The Wind Symphony will feature Joseph Wolf, winner of the 2023 Wind Symphony Concerto competition performing Ingolf Dahl’s Concerto for Alto Saxophone and Alfred Reed’s iconic Russian Christmas Music.
