FREE Piano Competition Winners' Recital at WCU's Wells School of Music
On Sunday, April 16, at 3:00 p.m., a FREE Winners Recital and Awards Presentation, open to the public, will be held in West Chester University’s (WCU) Ware Recital Hall, Swope Music Building & Performing Arts Center, 817 S. High Street, West Chester.
Winners were selected on Saturday, April 1, by a panel of judges from area universities in WCU’s 33nd Annual Pre-Collegiate Piano Competition, co-sponsored by Jacobs Music of Philadelphia. 49 young piano students from 4 States competed for 15 cash prizes, totaling $5,500. 1st, 2nd & 3rd place winners will perform in the Recital, and 6 Honorable Mention winners will be honored. This year’s winners range in age from 10 to 17 and their collective talents will celebrate their dedication to and love of music, as well as that of their teachers and family members.
