Nursing Program Earns Quality Matters Certification

nursing studentQuality Matters (QM), a peer review program that provides standardization and helps academic programs to become more competitive, has recognized WCU with its 2023 Online Learner Support Certification for all online programs.

This includes the University’s BSN for the Registered Nurse (BSN to RN), which QM has recognized with its 2023 Online Program Design Certification.

The Online Learner Support Certification recognizes programs that provide all the critical student and academic services needed for learner success and use learner feedback to continuously improve those services. QM’s Online Program Design Certification recognizes programs that are designed around measurable learning objectives or competencies: design/revision of individual courses within the program aligns with program objectives, involves QM-Certified personnel, and is consistent with the relevant QM rubric.

QM Standards and review processes are recognized nationally and internationally for being supported by research and based on best practices. These certifications demonstrate a commitment to creating an environment of excellence and quality and sustaining that commitment.

WCU’s College of Health and Sciences offers a concurrent RN-BSN program through Delaware County Community College (DCCC). Students must be accepted into DCCC’s nursing program before they may apply for the concurrent program at WCU. This program is an affordable, 100% online option and allows students to complete a BSN in as little as 3.5 years. Students are required to attend online classes during the fall, spring and summer sessions each year.
