Bio
Dr. Daris McInnis teaches classes in reading instruction and college readiness skills. His research interests include family literacy, critical literacy, and early childhood education. Previously, McInnis taught early elementary grades in Washington, D.C. McInnis is a Pat Tillman Scholar and served five years as a commissioned officer on active duty in the U.S. Army. He currently serves on the Middle School Family Literacy Advisory Board at Reading is Fundamental.
