Internships

Many students benefit from an internship experience during their junior or senior year. Often these are available during the summer. Formal internships are for academic credit, and involve a faculty supervisor as well as an employer supervisor. The student receives professional experience, and in many cases may receive a wage or expense money. To enroll in an internship, the student submits an Internship Agreement Form. To request an Internship Agreement Form, please contact your advisor.

  • The City of Miramar, Florida has reached out to hire interns from our Department. Our reputation for work in 3D modeling and ArcGIS Urban reached them! Currently, I am looking for a few intern candidates to present to the City for interviews. The plan is for a team of students to work remotely with the City Planners and GIS people. The skills that we are looking for include, 1) ArcGIS Pro (skilled enough to learn 3D modeling and editing), 2) ArcGIS Urban, and 3) AGOL (Dashboards and probably Hub Initiatives).
