Dr.%20Matthew%20McMahon%20is%20an%20Associate%20Professor%20of%20Economics%20at%20West%20Chester%20University.%20He%20was%20previously%20an%20Assistant%20Professor%20at%20the%20University%20of%20Arkansas%20at%20Little%20Rock.%20%3Cbr%3E%20%3Cbr%3EHis%20research%20spans%20Behavioral%20Economics,%20Environmental%20Economics,%20and%20Public%20Economics/Finance.%20In%20this%20research,%20he%20uses%20tools%20ranging%20from%20applied%20theory%20and%20experimental%20techniques%20to%20simulations%20and%20applied%20microeconometrics.%20He%20especially%20enjoys%20creating%20novel%20experimental%20designs%20to%20apply%20to%20areas%20in%20which%20experiments%20are%20rare,%20which%20has%20also%20led%20him%20to%20venture%20into%20areas%20outside%20his%20traditional%20wheelhouse,%20such%20as%20behavioral%20and%20corporate%20finance.%20%3Cbr%3E%3Cbr%3EHe%20has%20also%20participated%20in%20interdisciplinary%20collaborative%20work%20with%20researchers%20in%20areas%20ranging%20from%20Supply%20Chain%20Management%20to%20Meteorology.%20His%20teaching%20interests%20expand%20beyond%20his%20research%20interests.%20He%20has%20taught%20every%20level%20of%20undergraduate%20courses,%20including%20Principles%20of%20Microeconomics/Macroeconomics%20(both%20separately%20and%20combined),%20Intermediate%20Microeconomics,%20Intermediate%20Macroeconomics,%20Labor%20Economics,%20and%20Environmental%20Economics%20&%20Natural%20Resource%20Policy.%20He%20has%20also%20taught%20week-long%20guest%20lectures%20for%20various%20other%20courses,%20including%20both%20a%20400-level%20Seminar%20in%20Finance%20course%20(teaching%20about%20Behavioral%20Finance)%20and%20a%20600-level%20Experimental%20Economics%20course%20for%20Ph.D.%20students.%20Across%20these%20courses,%20he%20has%20significant%20experience%20teaching%20both%20traditional%20face-to-face%20classes%20and%20fully%20online%20classes.
