Housing Application
Current WCU students who are interested in living on-campus in WCU-Managed Housing or USH Affiliated Housing for the 2027-2028 academic year (August 2027 - May 2028) should complete the Returning Student Housing Application.
WCU Managed and USH Affiliated have aligned their housing application processes to make applying for housing easier and simpler for students.
Returning Student Housing Application Period
Opens: Monday, January 11, 2027, at 12:00 p.m.
Closes: Thursday, January 21, 2027, at 12:00 p.m.
You may apply anytime during the application period. Whether you apply right when the application opens or right before it closes, you’ll have the same opportunity to receive a housing offer.
2027-2028 Improvements to the process
Guided by student feedback, the 2027-2028 returning student housing application process for WCU Managed and USH Affiliated housing is moving from October to January.
This gives you more time to plan, weigh your options, and decide who you want to live with. Updates to the application process:
More Time to Explore Housing Options
West Chester University offers two on-campus housing providers: WCU Managed and USH Affiliated, plus off-campus housing.
More Time to Find Roommates
Students who wish to live together as roommates should submit a roommate group request during the application process. Each student in the roommate group must select the same provider and must individually submit an application.
Ten Days to Apply
No need to rush your application. There’s no advantage to applying the moment the application opens. As long as you submit your application during the application period, you’ll be considered for housing
How to Apply
Once the application opens on January 11, returning students who want to live on-campus in WCU Managed or USH housing for Fall 2027 – Spring 2028 will apply through RamPortal -> Housing & Dining tile.
