Program Overview

The goal of the BS in Health and Physical Education program is simple: train exceptional teachers who positively impact K-12 students and promote lifetime physical activity, fitness and health. WCU has been educating educators since its founding in 1871, and has been preparing health and physical education teachers for the classroom since 1889. As a student, you will be a part of a long and storied tradition of excellence in teaching. Our program is a cohort model, allowing students to build connections and friendships quickly within our supportive environment.
