Biography
Before joining the Early and Middle Grades Education Department, Dr. Rose Jagielo-Manion worked in a variety of elementary and middle schools as a general education teacher, special education teacher, Special Education Coordinator, and Academic Coordinator. She was also an adjunct instructor in the Literacy Department at West Chester University, teaching many different undergraduate and graduate courses and supervising teacher candidates in field courses. In the Early and Middle Grades Education Department, Rose teaches Families and Community Relations and supervises student teachers. Her research interests include supporting English Learners (ELs), mentoring teacher-candidates and teachers, fostering partnerships between universities and school districts, and the intentional use of technology to support student engagement and success.
