The Office is committed to working with other offices, organizations and departments to improve awareness of, and appreciation for racial and cultural diversity for the University community.
Skip arrived at West Chester University in April, 1992 as the Director of Multicultural Affairs, from the University at Albany (SUNY) where he had held a similar position for four years. A native of Delaware, he is a 1978 graduate of Salisbury State University in Maryland, and a product of the Student Personnel in Higher Education graduate program at The Ohio State University. At WCU he serves on many different universitywide committees including the Enrollment Management Advisory Committee and the Campus Climate Intervention Team, and is the faculty advisor to the Black Student Union. Along with his wife and three children, he resides in his hometown of Greenwood, Delaware.

A 1990 graduate of West Chester University with a BS in Business Management, Kendrick returned to WCU in the summer of 1996 to assume the position of Assistant Director of Multicultural Affairs. He earned his MS.Ed in 1994 from Southern Illinois University at Carbondale, and served as the Multicultural Affairs Coordinator at SUNY Cortland before returning "home". Kendrick is a 1988 initiate of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity, Inc. , Kappa Gamma Chapter at WCU, and now serves as the faculty advisor for the chapter. Born and raised in North Philadelphia, he is a 1985 graduate of Abraham Lincoln High School, and is married and the father of two.
