Academic Advising
The Exploratory Studies Department offers students without an academic major (undeclared/undecided) support and guidance
in choosing appropriate courses and discovering career interests. The office also
provides assistance in understanding program requirements and policies.
Academic Recovery Plan
An Academic Recovery Plan is developed by the student to specifically identify actions the student will take
to improve his or her academic performance at West Chester University.
Billing Questions and Answers
The Bursar's Office offers information about tuition and fees, the billing process, and making payments.
Students also visit the Bursar's office to receive refund checks.
Career Guidance
The Twardowski Career and Development Center offers support to students who want to explore career interests, improve interviewing
skills, résumé, or need assistance job searching.
Counseling Services
The Department of Counseling and Psychological Services provides emotional support and guidance to students who are having difficulties in
various aspects of life, affecting their ability to be successful.
Disability Services
The Office of Services for Students with Disabilities offers a full range of support services for students with physical and learning disabilities.
Housing
Residence Life holds information for on-campus housing policies and procedures, costs, variety of
living facilities, and housing applications. Students having issues with their roommate
should contact the resident assistant or resident director.
Legal Matters
The Office of Student Conduct Department handles legal matters, absenteeism, and any issues related to WCU's code of conduct. Legal Aid is offered to WCU students and provides consultation on a variety of civil and criminal
issues - landlord/tenant, leases, citations, etc.
LGBTQA Services
The Center for Trans and Queer Advocacy offers safe space for individuals to talk and explore their thoughts and feelings
about sexual orientation, sexuality, and gender identity. Provides information, resources
and programs to students and the community.
Office of Multicultural Affairs
The Office of Multicultural Affairs (OMA) serves a vital purpose at West Chester University by providing programs, activities
and services that contribute directly to the success of the multicultural students
attending the University.
Scheduling for Classes
The Office of the Registrar provides the necessary paperwork and authorization to drop, add or withdrawal from
a course. Official transcripts, enrollment verification, transfer credit information,
and instructions for scheduling classes can be found here.
Student Health Services
Student Health Services offers medical care to students with health concerns. Speak with a member of the Wellness
Promotion staff about stress management, healthy eating, safer alcohol use, time management,
and more.
Study Skills
The Learning Assistance and Resource Center offers one-hour workshops providing general information and techniques for study skills, time management, note
taking, test anxiety and essay writing which can be applied to every program of study.
