Susan has been an employee of West Chester University for more than 20 years working first for the CBPA Business Technology Center, as the Graduate Center Meeting and Event Manager, in 2014 as the single point of contact for the CCS and more recently as the Center's Liaison. Susan managed a wide variety of the BTC's projects with small and large businesses, nonprofit agencies and federal and state grants Susan served as the Director of the Department of Defense's Procurement Assistance Center, Manager in the DOD's Electronic Commerce Resource Center, and program coordinator of the grant with the state of Pennsylvania's Department of Public Welfare and the Department of Social Work. In her role as the GC's meeting and event manager, Susan is a highly effective ambassador for the University and strengthens the ties already in place with local constituencies. Susan has a B.S. degree in Business Administration from WCU.
Bella began working with the Center for Community Solutions in August 2018. As the CCS Graduate Assistant, her responsibilities include managing projects, supervising students, assisting in the development of policies and procedures and maintaining project data. Bella graduated from West Chester University in May 2018 with a degree in Earth Science and is currently enrolled in the university’s Accelerated Geoscience Master’s program.
John Villella - Chief of Staff and Executive Deputy to the President John Villella provides advice and counsel to the President. He serves as the liaison between the Office of the President and the Pennsylvania State System Office and external agencies and serves as the University Governmental Relations Officer, coordinating interaction with local and state governmental officials. On behalf of the President, he responds to stakeholder inquiries and requests. He also facilitates discussion between and among senior managers toward the completion of strategic goals and objectives.
Carol has returned to West Chester University to serve as the Outreach Coordinator for the Center for Community Solutions. She brings to the Center her considerable knowledge of Chester County as a former County Controller and Commissioner, and her experience in state government as Secretary of the Commonwealth and a member of the State Board of Education. Carol served as the first woman chair of the West Chester Council of Trustees and president of the Pennsylvania Association of Councils of Trustees. In the past, Carol chaired the Delaware Valley Regional Planning Commission and was president of the Tredyffrin/Easttown Board of School Directors. Carol is a graduate of Cornell University with a degree in Economics.
Sarah is the CCS Graduate Center and has been working in this position for the past three semesters. Her responsibilities include managing projects, supervising students, assisting in the development of policies and procedures and maintaining project data. Sarah received her Bachelor of Arts Degree in Communication Studies, with a Minor in Computer Science in 2016. While maintaining a 4.0 average in this degree program, Sarah was also the President of Lambda Pi Eta, the National Communication Studies Honor Society. Currently she is pursuing her Masters of Public Administration with a Certificate in Sports Management and Athletics and a Certificate in Administration Program which she will complete in Summer 2018.
Lisa is a management professional with over twenty years of business experience who came to West Chester University from The Vanguard Group. Previous to Lisa's appointment in the President's Office, she served as Interim Director of the External Operations Division. Lisa attended West Chester University both as an undergraduate (BS Marketing) and at the graduate level obtaining an MBA in Management. Lisa is enrolled in the Doctorate of Education in Policy, Planning and Administration degree program.
