Teaching: Taught 70 sections of ESS170, Gen. Ed. meteorology course; transitioning to online/hybrid; Teach meteorology for upper-class students and graduates; nominated for CASE’s U.S. “Professor of Year”; received “Distinguished” evaluation.
Research: Statistical short-term weather forecasting. I enjoy working with meteorological data archives and applying statistical techniques to generate accurate predictions minutes to hours in advance for transportation applications.
Service: Department Graduate Coordinator; former Assessment Coordinator; former NFO chair; currently on FMC committee.
Interests/Passions Outside of Academe: Biking, playing Settlers of Catan, cooking, current events, personal finance/budget, storm chasing.
Times when I can meet: I live in Center City Philadelphia so ideally there on Tuesdays, most evenings, and weekends. In local area, most evenings as well.
