Teaching: My main area of teaching is in applied music. I teach my studio of over twenty tuba and euphonium students private lessons each week. I also teach group trumpet lessons, and run the WCU Brass Ensemble and the WCU Tuba Ensemble.
Research: As an very active freelance musician in the greater Philadelphia region, much of my research consists of concertizing with orchestras and chamber ensembles on both modern and period instruments. I also travel internationally to perform as a soloist and teach masterclasses.
Service: I have served on WCU committees such as the Research Consortium and the Who’s Who selection committee. As a strong proponent of musical outreach, I have performed over 100 concerts for young children with disabilities.
Interests/Passions Outside of Academe: Outside of academe and music in general, I am a fan of Formula 1 racing, the Baltimore Orioles, BBQ, craft beer, home improvement projects, and my two cats.
Times when I can meet: I will be on campus every day of the week during Fall 2017. Afternoons are best, given a few day’s notice.
