Teaching: My primary responsibilities are teaching undergraduate and graduate athletic training (AT) classes. I also teach an interdisciplinary and writing emphasis class, “Psychosocial Perspectives of Sport Injuries”, which is offered in hybrid (face to face and online) format.

Research: I examine career socialization processes within and outside of the AT profession. Specifically, how individuals learn the attitudes, knowledge and behaviors associated with being a AT student, clinician, and faculty member. I believe it is extremely important for one's professional success to engage in the scholarship of teaching and service, in addition to traditional scholarship. I also conduct research which aligns with my clinical AT responsibilities.

Service: Many of my service activities are centered around faculty and student success and retention. I am a member of the Faculty Mentoring and University Wide Tenure and Promotion Committees.

Interests/Passions Outside of Academe: I am a mom to a 3 year old son and wife to a professional baseball athletic trainer. I enjoy hiking, travelling and all things food.

Times when I can meet: Monday and Wednesday mornings and early afternoons but my schedule varies from Fall to Spring semester.
