Fair Weather - Farrell Stadium

  • Come to the blacktop (parking) area, just south of the Sturzebecker Health Sciences Center, at 8:00 am for the 10:00 am ceremony.  There will be a table and a sign for faculty.  Bring your cap, gown, and hood.
  • Go to the faculty table.  Line up the faculty in a double line, with the emeriti faculty (if any) in front of the active faculty.
  • Wait for Mary Beth Kurimay's signal to start the procession at 9:30 am.  Lead the faculty down path between Sturzbecker and Farrell stadium.  This is the path the football team uses when entering the field.
  • When the processional music starts, you will be signaled to lead the faculty to enter the stadium and to form two lines behind the students’ seating sections.  PLEASE stay on the field covering and ask that faculty do so as well.  Remain standing as the students from each college march between the faculty lines to their seats on both sides of the stadium floor.
  • Remain in place while the Grand Marshals and Platform Party follow the students. When the Platform Party has passed, lead the faculty to their seats in the front two aisles on both sides and remain standing.  The Provost will ask everyone to be seated.
  • At the end of the ceremony, the platform party will recess from the stage and lead the faculty out of the stadium through the north entrance.  Again, please stay on the field covering and ask that faculty do so as well as they process out of the stadium.

Inclement Weather - Hollinger

  • If there is severe weather, the ceremony will move indoors to Hollinger Field House. You will be most welcome at the indoor ceremony, so please plan to attend if the ceremony is moved indoors.   There will be a recorded message on the information line, 610-436-1000 as well as the www.wcupa.edu website with information regarding any changes to the ceremony.
  • The ceremony will be held at 10:00 am.
  • Come to the Ehinger Gymnasium by 8:15 am for the 10:00 am ceremony.  There will be a table and a sign for faculty.  Bring your cap, gown, and hood.
  • Please note.  The indoor ceremony will not include a student procession.  Only the faculty and stage party will participate in the procession.  Students will collect their name card at Ehinger and be directed to their seats in Hollinger Field House.  And because of limited seating, only graduating students, faculty, the stage party and President’s guests will be permitted to attend.
  • The procession will start at 9:45 am.  Lead the faculty out of Ehinger, down the steps in the first staircase.  When the music begins and you are cued by Mary Beth Kurimay, please lead the faculty down the center aisle and fill into the seats starting at third row.  Remain standing until all students are at their seats, the platform party has processed onto the stage, and the Provost has asked everyone to sit.
  • At the end of the ceremony, the platform party will recess from the stage and lead the faculty out of Hollinger Field House.
