This session explores the power of music to instantiate diversity and intersectionality. Music's appeal and power not only promotes diversity but sustains multiple levels of diversity, yet its use as a vehicle for diversity and intersectionality is marginal at best. This presentation explores how to bring music--whether it is the campus Music Department or SGA/Campus concerts series--to the forefront of championing diversity.
