On May 6, the Friday before Commencement ceremonies, Eleanor Walton, coordinator of
the Digital Media Center, spent more than seven hours in a cold, driving rain, running
cables throughout Farrell Stadium, doing audio checks, and setting up cameras.
Men's rugby, a competitive sports club team at WCU, traveled to Argentina during spring

Annual tradition is a beloved stress-buster
The University community was going absolutely bananas April 20. But no one was alarmed because, after all, it was Banana Day. The 20th annual tradition was celebrated with games, activities and plenty of free bananas on the Academic Quad and elsewhere on campus. Interim President Chris Fiorentino joined in the fun at a banana toss, for which he won a highly coveted, limited edition Banana Day t-shirt.
Cabria McClain (Tyson), Kyle Hoops (Schmidt), and Julie Belling (Tyson) were just a few of those who organized bins during the University's third annual end-of-year "Pack it Up, Pass it On" collection drive in the residence halls. As students moved out, they were encouraged to donate nonperishable food, clothing, unwanted furniture, and other household items, using collection bins located in each building's lobby. Off-campus residents could arrange for free furniture pick-ups. The collection drive is a collaborative effort between WCU's offices of Off Campus & Commuter Services and Service-Learning & Volunteer Programs, as well as the Borough of West Chester, Habitat for Humanity of Chester County, and the Chester County Food Bank.
