Minorities in Medicine is a newly formed student group that already is an active presence both on and off campus. The organization is open to any WCU student interested in the issues of marginalized groups and their access to medical care. Advisors are Dr. Steve Zimniski, director of WCU's pre-medical program and Dr. Anita Foeman, professor of communication studies. Recently, the group visited Drexel University College of Medicine, the largest private medical school in the nation.
