GRADUATE
PROGRAM

Instrumental

The Master of Music in Performance, Instrumental degree is offered for violin, viola, violoncello, double bass, guitar, flute, clarinet, oboe, bassoon, saxophone, trumpet, horn, trombone, baritone, tuba, and percussion. 30 Semester Hours.

The Master of Music in Performance, Instrumental Conducting is designed for those who can demonstrate appropriate ability in conducting and who have had experience conducting church, school, and/or community programs. Candidates for the MM degree must hold an appropriate undergraduate degree in music. 30 Semester Hours.

Keyboard

The Master Of Music In Performance, Organ is designed for those who can demonstrate appropriate performing ability and possess an appropriate undergraduate degree. If the degree is in an area other than the area of intended graduate study, no more than twelve hours of remediation will be required in organ-related studies. 30 Semester Hours.

The Master Of Music, Piano Pedagogy is designed for those who can demonstrate appropriate performing ability and possess an appropriate undergraduate degree. Applicants without a degree in piano can be admitted to the piano pedagogy program only if they demonstrate equivalent background in piano and if no more than twelve credits of remediation would be required. 36 Semester Hours.

The Master Of Music In Performance, Piano, Harpsichord is designed for those who can demonstrate appropriate performing ability and possess an appropriate undergraduate degree. If the degree is in an area other than the area of intended graduate study, no more than twelve hours of remediation will be required in keyboard-related studies. 30 Semester Hours.

Voice and Choral

The Master Of Music In Performance, Voice is designed for those who can demonstrate appropriate performing ability and possess an appropriate undergraduate degree. If the degree is in an area other than the area of intended graduate study, no more than twelve hours of remediation will be required in vocal-related studies (diction, voice lessons, etc.). 30 Semester Hours.

The Master Of Music In Performance, Choral Conducting is designed for those who can demonstrate appropriate ability in conducting and who have had experience conducting church, school, and/or community programs. Candidates for the MM degree must hold an appropriate undergraduate degree in music. 30 Semester Hours.
