Instructional Technology

Instructional and Educational technology is the effective use of technology tools in learning. By integrating current and emerging technologies into instruction and assessment, learning experiences in the classroom and online can be transformed.

At the Digital Corner, there are tools available to integrate into your classrooms to enhance the learning experience and to add depth and variety to your assessments. Assistance is also available in the selection and use of these tools and resources.

Technology Tools

  • Clickers (Student Response Systems)
    • Clickers are great for initiating Active Learning Activities and for Assessment
  • Qualtrics
    • Qualtrics is great a perfect Assessment tool to evaulate your class
  • Google Drive
    • Google Drive is also an excellent multipurpose tool for publishing, sharing and storing documents
  • Dedoose
    • An app for analyzing qualitative and mixed methods research

  • Great for Active Learning and Group Work
  • Powtoon, great for creating unique videos
  • Pinterest, great for getting students to share resources, active learning, assessment, group projects

Tips & Tricks

Did you know that Qualtrics can work great as a peer review rubric? Just create a survey in a rubric form with the leading question as the identifier of the group or individual. Then, when it is time to review, provide the reusable link to your students. Finally collect the data!
