Associate Rubric
Published rubrics can be associated within assessments in the following D2L tools:
- Assignments
- Discussion Topics
- Grade Items
Associated rubrics can be edited up until it has been used to assign a grade. Once a grade has been assigned to a rubric it is locked from any further edits.
Associating a rubric to an Assignment
- Click Assessment in the navigation bar, then select Assignments from the drop down menu.
- Click on the dropdown menu next to the Assignment you wish to edit and select Edit Assignment.
- While on the Properties tab, scroll down to the Evaluation and Feedback section and
click on Add Rubric.
- Select the check box for the rubric you want to attach to the assignment.
- Click Add Selected.
- Click Save and Close.
Associating a rubric to a Discussion Topic
- Click Communication in the navigation bar, then select Discussions from the drop down menu.
- Click on the dropdown menu next to the Discussion Topic you wish to edit and select Edit Topic.
- Click on the Assessment tab.
- Click on Add Rubric.
- Select the check box for the rubric you want to attach to the discussion topic.
- Click Add Selected.
- Click Save and Close.
Associating a rubric to a Grade Item
- Click Assessment in the navigation bar, then select Grades from the drop down menu.
- Click on Manage Grades.
- Click on the dropdown menu next to the Grade Item you wish to edit and select Edit.
- While on the Properties tab, scroll down to the Grading section and click on Add Rubric.
- Select the check box for the rubric you want to attach to the discussion topic.
- Click Add Selected.
- Click Save and Close.
