Interested Second-Degree Students

Thank you for your interest in the health and physical education program.  Second-degree students have earned an undergraduate degree and are interested in a second undergraduate degree in health and physical education.  The first degree may come from WCU or another institution.

Accepted second-degree students will follow an approved program of study which if followed, leads to graduation in five semesters.  The fifth semester is student teaching.  The classes are progressively sequenced and cannot be completed in less than five semesters.  By virtue of earning a previous undergraduate degree, second-degree students must only complete HPE-required classes and PDE-required classes.  They do NOT need to fulfill general education requirements.

For additional information and/or questions, please contact the department chairperson, Dr. Laura Renzi.
