All WCU Chester County campuses are operating on a one-hour delay this morning, Thursday January 4, 2018. All classes will begin at 9 AM, which means that the 8 AM classes are cancelled and the 9 AM class will be the first class of the day. To clarify for those students who have 3 hour classes that normally start at 8 AM today, you should report for class at the announced opening time of 9:00 AM. That class will meet for a shortened session and end at the normal scheduled time. Only essential personnel should report on their regular schedule. All other University personnel should report at 9 AM. Notification has been sent via email to all WCU students, faculty, and staff.
In order to keep the campus operational during snow removal, a network of priority sidewalks (Snow Walks) have been identified. These walks will be the first walks cleared during a snow event and every attempt will be made to keep them open while the snow is still falling. During a snow or inclement weather event, the University encourages the use of the Snow Walks network and the avoidance of unplowed or untreated paths.
