For the first time, West Chester University is included in U.S. News' top 100 Best Online Programs for its online MBA program.
U.S. News based their evaluation of online MBA programs on four criteria: faculty credentials and training, student services and technology, student engagement, and admissions selectivity. In his blog, the company's chief data strategist Robert Morse explains the methodologies and analysis, noting that U.S. News' rankings are "based on data specific to schools' distance education degree programs," rather than on federal government data alone. More than 1,200 distance education bachelor's and master's degree programs in various fields are cataloged in the 2016 directory.
In other U.S. News rankings, WCU remains among the top 100 regional universities in the north and among the top 20 public universities in the north. The University's graduate social work program has again made the top 100 and WCU keeps its status among the top 100 Best Colleges for Veterans.
U.S. News ranks more than 1,300 schools on their lists, using indicators that reflect a school's student body, its faculty and its financial resources, along with outcome measures that signal how well the institution does its job of educating students.
