Why did you choose WCU and/or CBPM?
"I looked at colleges all across America, but immediately fell in love with West Chester University's campus when I came to visit. I chose accounting because I really like math, and after talking with numerous CFOs, I knew accounting was for me. After all, it is the language of business."

What professor has had the biggest impact on your time at WCU and why?
"This is a difficult question because there are so many professors who have had a huge impact on my college experience. One that really stands out is Dr. Peter Oehlers. He's given me a great deal of advice. I visit his office a lot, and he's always willing to help."

What is your favorite thing about WCU and/or CBPM?
"Everyone in the Accounting Department has been extremely helpful. Older students tend to help out newer students, there are study groups for classes, and all of the professors are willing to assist with anything you need."

What groups/organizations are you involved with on campus?
"I am an RA and also the Vice President of Beta Alpha Psi, the honorary organization on campus for financial information students and professionals."

Have you had an internship? If so, where and what was that experience like?
"I had an internship this past summer for BHS Corrugated in Germany. I learned so much. I started off in the Finance Department, but moved around a lot. I was in marketing, IT, and also did some work with SIP, an accounting program. It was a great experience.

While I was in Germany, I was able to travel across all of Europe. I saw so many different cultures. I went to Italy, Austria, Czech Republic, Brussels, and a number of other places."

What do you plan to do after graduation?
"I would love to work for one of the Big 4 Accounting Firms [PricewaterhouseCoopers, Deloitte Touche Tohmatsu, Ernst & Young, and KPMG] as a forensics accountant. I always liked the TV show Criminal Minds and I really love math, so I figure that's a good way to combine the two. I want to use my education to catch criminals."

What would you tell students considering CBPM?
"Don't be afraid to ask for advice. Go to your professors, go to fellow students, and they will help. Open up and talk to people."

Where is your favorite place to eat on campus?
"The omelets at Lawrence can't be beat."
