Curriculum Vitae

Charlie has been working as a professional actor, director, and theatre educator for over twenty five years. He currently resides in Philadelphia where he serves as an educational outreach specialist for the Lantern Theatre Company, Delaware Theatre Company, White Box Theatre, and the Pennsylvania Council on the Arts.  He also sits on the Oversight Committee for Theatre Philadelphia’s Barrymore Awards program.  Charlie is the camp director and co-founder of The Pennsylvania Theatre Institute, a six week summer camp sponsored by the Department of Theatre and Dance, that serves students from around the region. 

He is also a respected performer and proud member of Actor’s Equity having appeared at: The Walnut Street Theatre, The Arden Theatre Co. (Barrymore Nomination:  Best Supporting Actor in a Play: The Jungle Book), Theater Horizon (Barrymore Winner: Best Actor in a Play: I Am My Own Wife), Delaware Theatre Co., Inis Nua (Barrymore Nomination: Best Actor in a Musical: Midsummer: a play with songs, Best Actor in a Play: Dublin by Lamplight), The Lantern Theatre (Barrymore Winner: Best Ensemble: A Child's Christmas in Wales), Act II Playhouse (Barrymore Nomination:  Best Actor in a Play: The Glass Menagerie),  Azuka Theatre Collective, EgoPo Classic Theatre, Commonwealth Classic Theatre, Delaware Shakespeare Festival, Shakespeare in Clark Park, and White Box Theatre.

He has held guest artist positions at:  Albright College, the University of Pennsylvania, Millersville University, Moravian College, and Delta State University.
