This year's conference will have 9 sessions over the two-day conference on Thursday and Friday, each with 3-4 individual presentations, workshops, and panels on different topics. Keynote speaker Dr. Javier Ávila (click here for more information) will present his one-man show: The Trouble with my Name at 11:00 - 12:15 pm in the Sykes Theatre. There will be a Networking Reception from 3:30 - 4:45 as a time to plan and strategize on issues discussed in the earlier panels. Friday's lunch will host the Chester County Latino Luncheon (click here).. The Latino Luncheon will present scholarship awards to four West Chester University and Immaculata University students. The conference presentations fall into one or more of six topical “tracks”:

  1. Humanities: Performing and Visual Arts, Languages, Cultures, Literature and History
  2. Education: Issues in the classroom & community, English Language Learning (E.L.L.) and Science, Technology, Engineering, Art and Math (S.T.E.A.M.)
  3. Professional Services: Health, Social Work, and Justice Systems
  4. Social Sciences: Politics, Economics, Anthropology and Sociology
  5. Co-Curricular Opportunities: Personal, Career and Community Development
  6. Immigration and Citizenship: Immigrants, undocumented migration, border studies, immigration policies and enforcement
