Gabrielle Buzgo earned her BA in Integrated Art and Communications from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA and her MFA from MICA's Curatorial Practice Program in 2013. During her studies, she simultaneously worked in elementary Special Education as a classroom assistant and substitute teacher. Gabrielle's thesis exhibition, Perception & Ability, married these two passions and led to collaborations with the Art Beyond Sight Museum Institute in New York City for both their national museum studies curriculum and their 2013 Annual Teleconference Crash Course on Museum Accessibility.
Her transition to higher education began at the University of Maryland Baltimore County (UMBC) where she was the Visual & Performing Arts Admissions Counselor in the Office of Undergraduate Admissions & Orientation for three years. During that time, she heightened the visibility of the departments of Dance, Music, Theatre, and Visual Arts, increased applications, and was an adjunct faculty member for the Museum Studies program. Since then, she has maintained her creative practice as a consultant and curator while also expanding her career in higher education.
