Almost everything that I do in my research is about the critical transition points where training, mentoring, writing, and professional development have deep impact. Whether that is students entering the university or exiting the university and entering the workforce, the writing and the support students need for communication is fascinating to me. I am also interested in how an understanding of workplace rhetorics and the influence of othered bodies and associated diversification efforts can improve employees' working lives.
