Ways to Support the Pantry

Aramark Donation

Operation Snow

Inauguration Food Drive

Thank you for your interest in supporting the WCU Resource Pantry. Charitable donations from community members and organizations is an intergral part of the Pantry's ability to support student needs. You can help us achieve our mission by making a financial donation, hosting a food/item drive, or by making an individual donation of needed items.

Federal Government Shutdown

Although the federal government recently announced an end to the shutdown, we know that many West Chester University students and their families may still be affected. The Resource Pantry is here to help our students! The Resource Pantry is open to all currently enrolled students at West Chester University, regardless of demonstration of financial need. We welcome any students affected by the shutdown to utilize the Pantry, even if they have never shopped in the Pantry before.

During the shutdown of the federal government, the Chester County Food Bank is extending services to federal employees, veterans, and federal contractors who live in Chester County. Please call the Food Bank to make arrangements if you are in need of food assistance.  Call 610-873-6000 X105 (Weekdays 8-4:30pm).  After business hours, please call 484-401-417.

Interested in supporting the Pantry at this time? We also appreciate any assistance from those who are able to contribute monetary donations during this challenging time. Other ways to support our students are by contributing in-kind donations to the Chester County Food Bank as they are a major partner of the Resource Pantry. Donations made to the Chester County Food Bank directly benefit West Chester University students.  The Chester County Food Bank provides the Resource Pantry with food items to help us stock our shelves. We thank you for any assistance you are able to provide as we seek to help more individuals.

Donations

Financial Contributions: Monetary donations are greatly appreciated because they allow us to purchase the items that we need the most when we need them.

Pantry's Most Needed Items

Below are items that reflect current needs in the Pantry. This list is updated twice a month to reflect real-time needs. If you are considering donating clothing, please contact the Resource Pantry prior to donating so that we can determine if we are able to hold more clothing items in our space.
