WCU Professional Network

Professional Network (ProNet) in Ram Career Network (RCN) is an online system that allows students and alumni to connect with WCU Alumni ProNet Volunteers in their field(s) of interest. The goal of ProNet is to facilitate connections with professionals in the alumni community in order to grow networks and explore career opportunities. An Alumni ProNet Volunteer can aid you with:

  • Investigating industries and career fields, as well as how their major prepared them for their career.
  • Expanding your professional network by connecting you with others in the field.
  • Discovering helpful facts about their organization’s culture.
  • Learning about potential internships or available positions.
  • Tailoring resumes to fit a specific field or industry.
  • Preparing you for your job search and interviews.
  • Understanding the graduate and professional school experience and the value of continuing education to certain career options.
  • Transitioning into the professional world.

In order to receive access to ProNet you must review user expectations. Complete the form below indicating you understand and agree to the guidelines. Within two business days after receiving your request you will be emailed follow up information on how to access ProNet through Ram Career Network.

In order to receive access to ProNet you must review user expectations. Complete the form below indicating you understand and agree to the guidelines and within two business days after your request is received you will be emailed follow up information on how to access ProNet through RCN. 

Be aware you are completing this form to express your interest in OBTAINING advice from other alumni, not to serve as a volunteer.

Become a ProNet Alumni Volunteer

Why become a ProNet Alumni Volunteer?

  • Connect with students and fellow alumni to share your professional knowledge and demonstrate the power of a professional networking.
  • Within the ProNet system users are able to search alumni to make connections regarding career interests, majors, and experiences in order to learn how you got to where you are today.
  • Users will message Alumni Volunteers in order to begin a conversation. Your connection with the student may stay online via email or grow into telephone conversations, in-person meetings, shadowing, etc. The level of interaction you have with the user that has expressed interest is in your control.
