Course Description: Decision making and problem solving skills are key to organizational success, but how do we navigate through the thought process before arriving at a decision or solution? This course examines the thinking methods our minds use to make decisions, and exposes common flaws in thinking and decision making. Throughout, the concept of System 1 (Unconscious) thinking versus System 2 (Conscious) thinking is discussed, tools are given to improve critical thinking, and a methodical process for strategic thinking is outlined. Participants will work through practice problems and various exercises to reinforce core concepts.

Course Outcome: Participants enrolled in this course will learn to recognize common errors in decision making, apply appropriate tools to aid critical thinking, and master the strategic thinking process.
