Alicia Hahn-Murphy

Director, Center for Women and Gender Equity; Director, institute for Women

Alicia began her career at West Chester University in 2006 as a master's student in the Higher Education Counseling and Student Affairs program and graduate assistant in the Wellness Center. Alicia was hired as the Coordinator of Wellness Education in 2008 and later moved to the Director of Wellness Education. After serving as the Interim Director of the Women's Center, Alicia was hired as the first 12 month director of the Women's Center. Prior to her work at West Chester University, Alicia was a counselor at the Renfrew Center for Eating Disorders. Alicia earned her Bachelor of Arts degree in psychology from Lycoming College in 2005.

Emily Sheehan

Coordinator, Healthy Masculinity and Violence Prevention Programs

Emily is a second-year graduate student at West Chester University in the Higher Education Counseling/Student Affairs program. She has worked as the Green Dot Graduate Assistant and Center for Women & Gender Equity Graduate Assistant. Prior to joining the WCU community, Emily worked as a Constituent Advocate in the U.S. Senate for two years. Emily is a 2014 graduate of Saint Joseph's University and earned a Bachelor of Arts degree in Political Science. During her time at SJU, Emily was heavily involved with a cappella, College Democrats, and co-founded the university's first Women's Leadership Initiative.

Charlotte is a first-year graduate student at West Chester University in the Higher Education Policy and Student Affairs program. Before coming to WCU, Charlotte graduated from The College of William in Mary in 2015 where she double-majored in Government and Sociology with a focus in Gender Studies. During her time at William and Mary, Charlotte was a member of the Division I Varsity field hockey team. She became a Branch Out Site Leader that addressed HIV/AIDS awareness and prevention in Richmond, Virginia her junior year. Additionally, Charlotte was a 2014 William and Mary DC Summer Institutes Leadership and Community Engagement Fellow, where she interned at a non-profit called Generation Hope that helps teen mothers and fathers receive their college degrees through a mentorship and scholarship program. She was a recipient of the Carol Woody Gender, Sexualities, and Women Studies Summer Internship Scholarship Award for her time at Generation Hope.
