Education: Dean

Dean serves as Head of Professional Education's Unit and PA Department of Education's Certifying Officer for WCU; authority for all College of Education matters and functions. Associate Dean responsible for curriculum & assessment for all educator preparation programs. Business Manager responsible for COE budget and faculty/staff hiring. Director of Professional Education Certification & Compliance responsible for matters regarding WCU educator preparation programs and related PA tests.

Involves the following:
This position will provide general assistance with:
General office duties such as data entry, reception/answering telephones and emails, typing, filing, copying, faxing and scanning. Maintain high degree of confidentiality of materials and information of the department. Send documents via inter-office and U.S. postal service. Assist with on-going and special projects, as needed.
Specific duties as they relate to this department:
Strong worth ethic. Reliability is a must. Friendly. Great customer service attitude. Strong communication skills. Personable telephone and face to face manner. Computer comfort, knowledge and skills with Microsoft Word, Outlook, Excel and PowerPoint is helpful. Ability to work with basic office equipment. Enthusiastic and positive attitude. Ability to be organized and pay attention to detail. Be mature. Attentive listener. Ability to complete goals and tasks assigned. Ability to work with minimum supervision. Open to suggestions and growth. Prefer a student worker willing to work 2 or 3 hours per day.
