Teaching: I teach intro and advanced policy and practice courses in the undergraduate social work department. I’ve enjoyed incorporating service-learning in my courses and teaching on both the West Chester and Philadelphia campuses.
Research: My interest is in the use of qualitative methodologies for practice, the impact of bilingual/bicultural experiences on social work students’ practice, and the transfer experiences of students from community college.
Service: I recently ended my second term as department chair and currently serve as a member of CAPC, University Forum, and the Latino Communities Conference Steering Committee.
Interests/Passions Outside of Academe: I spend much of my free time shuttling my sons to sports, but also enjoy volunteering in their schools, cooking, yoga, running, and travel.
Times when I can meet: My schedule changes each semester, but I’m usually on main campus Monday through Thursday, live in Philly, and am happy to arrange a time and place that works!
