Teaching: My areas are interpersonal communication, work-family integration, conflict resolution, and health communication. I focus mostly on marital, dating, and family relationships. Professional responsibilities also have included Graduate Coordinator, Undergraduate Coordinator, and Interim Chair.
Research: Much of my research has been peer-reviewed scholarship in communication or other interdisciplinary journals. However, I’ve also been the recipient of two Environmental Protection Agency grants to work on increasing composting and other food recovery in the Borough of West Chester.
Service: I’m dedicated to service that improves both the campus community and the larger community. I was the Vice-Chair of BLUER (http://www.west-chester.com/221/BLUER) and the West Nile Virus Task Force and currently serve on CAPC and the Honors Council, to name a few.
Interests/Passions Outside of Academe: I am an avid gardener, cook, and lover of books. I’ve been a beekeeper since 2009 and enjoy upcycling/repurposing items and most things surrounding sustainable living. I am not into sports, cards, or board games.
Times when I can meet: Most weeks I can meet MWF with advance notice and am happy to meet on or off campus.
