WZ is interested in referrals for paid and volunteer mentors with the following qualifications:
- Strong and resourceful writer.
- Interested in helping youth, especially low-income and culturally diverse youth, become stronger writers and more ambitious students.
- Available during school hours. Shifts are morning (approximately 7:45a.m.-10:45a.m.) and afternoon (approximately 11a.m.-2pm).
- At least 30 credits of university work or at least sophomore standing3.0+ GPA (some exceptions made for strong writers with difficulties in other areas)

Writing Zones 12.5 is interested in partnering with other community and university initiatives focused
on college access, writing and critical thinking, and diversity.
