Core Mentors 2007-2008
Mollie Force: "I am energetic, positive and have a passion for language."
Bill Finch: "The thing I like most about helping with Writing Zones is being able to help younger writers. I had teachers in high school who helped with and encouraged me to continue writing and they are a big part of the reason I write today."
Veronica Gallaso: "I think it is essential for young people to feel important and proud of themselves, so I feel that I will be able to inspire young writers."
Danielle Corrao: "I know that I will learn as much from the students as they will (hopefully) learn from me... I can connect with the students on a personal level and make them feel comfortable..."
Abby Weiss: "I began my collegiate career as a journalism major because I love to write and express myself with words. "The pen is mightier than the sword," as the saying goes, and I fully believe that: writing has the potential to reach and spread ideas to scores of readers."
Will Melvin: "Education is built upon the relationships you build with your students."
