Keynote Speaker Dr. James Hansen
Dr. Hansen is the leading authority in the field of climate science and has contributed significantly to the public debates about climate change and the responsibilities of science. He served as Director of NASA’s Goddard Institute for Space Studies and is an Adjunct Professor of Earth and Environmental Sciences at Columbia University’s Earth Institute. His numerous awards include a Carl-Gustaf Rossby Research Medal, Annual Heinz Award in the Enviornment, and a Sophie Award. In 2006 he was listed as one of Time Magazine’s 100 Most Influential People. Dr. Hansen’s talk will encompass his research on climate change.
